We ask every builder who advertises with us to provide proof of current public liability insurance before they are listed, but we do not verify every claim an advertiser makes. Always check a builder's insurance and references yourself before work starts, and use a written contract.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the work, products, advice, delays, defects or conduct of any advertiser, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information on this website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
