Competent person scheme
Competent person schemes let registered installers self-certify certain Building Regulations work (for example windows, boilers or electrics) and notify the council on your behalf. You should still receive a certificate for your records and for future sales.
Using a scheme member does not remove the need for planning consent where planning rules apply.
Scheme lists and covered work types differ; check the register for the nation where the property sits.
