Building in Yorkshire and the Humber
Yorkshire and the Humber covers West, South, North and East Yorkshire plus northern Lincolnshire. Cities such as Leeds, Sheffield, York and Hull sit alongside market towns and coastal settlements. Home Builders publishes guides and introductions across the UK; we do not carry out building work.
Planning authority: In England the local council is the planning authority for most householder applications. Building Regulations are a separate system handled by local authority building control or a registered building control approver.
